Like many 20 somethings, Pokemon was a huge part of my childhood, the cards, the games the cuddle Pikachus! I’d always wanted to do a Pokemon Costume but could never decide on a Pokemon and wasn’t really into the fursuit idea. Then I heard a group were planning Gajinka (human form) versions of Pokemon for Amecon 2016 and I couldn’t resist!
Espeon is my favourite eevelution and one of my fave Pokemon- I love the colours and cat like style and wanted to take a kimoni-esque clothing style and keep the Pokemon’s main colours for the design. I used crepe, satin and ribbon for the clothing and worbla for the armour elements of the costume.
